We grow young, grain fed beef for the freezer.

Beef is usually processed in the fall.  It is cut and wrapped to customer specifications by a commercial processor.  Price per pound is by hanging weight and includes processing. Approximately 30% will be lost in the finished product.  We take orders for 
quarters (approximately 165#), 
halves (approximately 325#), 
three-quarters (approximately 500#), 
and whole beef (approximately 650#).  

We will be accepting orders, summer of 2009, for beef that will be ready in the fall of 2009.  The price will be  around $2.30 per pound hanging weight and includes the processing cost.  A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required with each order.  Beef will need to picked up, at our home, on a designated day. 

The beef will be from Holstein steers that have been primarily grain fed on a feed lot.  These steers have not been treated with hormones.  Individuals will be treated with antibiotics if medically necessary.  

We also grow livestock feed.  Hay, straw, shelled corn, and/or whole oats are not available at this time.
